If you’ve got a spare 15 minutes, perhaps in a ferry wait, set out from the big waves on the beach at Manly to pretty Shelley Beach on this soothing sculpture walk. The kids will love finding small pewter sculptures hidden along the walkway and in the rocks – see if they can spot sea dragons, divers, mermaids, snails, sea-birds and octopus, and learn with the nature note plaques. Stopping at delightful shops and restaurants along the way can stretch this stroll well into the afternoon. There’s always the next ferry!
